Earlier this year, in January 2024, I took a walk around the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban — the Parliament of Bangladesh, located in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. I had my camera with me and decided to take some photos of everyday life on the streets nearby.
Recently, I was going through an old hard drive and found those photos again. Looking at them made me smile. Each picture shows a small moment from the streets. A mother laughing with her child while selling bangles, a man pushing a cart full of jhalmuri and a delivery rider speeding by on his bike.
All these moments may seem simple, but together they tell a bigger story. They show the beauty, hope, and hard work in the lives of ordinary people. Even though the photos are in black and white, they feel full of life and color to me.
Sometimes, the best stories are the ones we walk past every day without noticing.

Thank you for taking a moment to see what I saw.
